Jo was kind and non judgemental and allowed me to talk at my own pace about my intrusive thoughts that I struggled to verbalise. I feel I have new lifelong skills that have set me on the right path to transform my obsessive way of thinking.

Jo is such a kind and understanding person. I felt completely comfortable talking through anything that was bothering me. She has helped me through the toughest struggles I have faced so far with my anxiety, and I cannot thank her enough. I now understand more about myself and how to deal with my anxiety, more than ever before. I cannot thank her enough. I feel like I have improved unbelievable amounts, and if times get tough again, I would always go back to Jo for some guidance. My journey with Jo has helped me to develop a more peaceful mind.

I spent a couple of months with Jo as I really struggled with anxiety and self esteem. I immediately felt so comfortable speaking with Jo. She didn’t pressure me into focusing on my past, but instead helped me with everyday struggles that I faced. She makes the room a safe place to speak your mind, and never made me feel uncomfortable or under pressure. I left every session with a feeling of a fresh start. She taught me to break things down in my mind, and taught me small everyday skills which have truly impacted me in a positive way. She has taught me to take control of my everyday struggles, and not have them take over me. She has helped me learn ways to change my negative, and stressful train of thought. She could assess exactly what type of therapy I needed to help me. She is extremely professional, easy to talk to, reliable and never made me feel like a ‘patient’. She has given me skills for life, to help me truly change my own life for the better.

Jo combines a very high emotional intelligence with professionalism and kindness. Starting therapy was not an easy decision for me, however Jo made me feel like I was on an adventurous journey of getting to know myself. She helped me discover new perspectives on many aspects of life and my own self, she encouraged me to work through various levels of my unconscious. And, despite the unavoidable emotional roller coaster that comes with such a process, it felt very easy and natural. Thank you.

Jo is very pleasant and genuine, and inspired confidence from the start. She had a very clear sense of my priorities, and the things that were really troubling me, but was also excellent at dealing with other issues as they arose. In talking to me, she used a range of methods, and some of the sessions were demanding and "difficult", but I expected that, given what we were discussing, and she always had very positive goals in mind, which I think were achieved. She struck me as being not only highly-skilled, but also very conscientious in reviewing the sessions and helping me to move on into other areas of concern. Overall, I am very glad that I contacted Jo, she helped me a great deal, and I would recommend her unreservedly.

Jo is really personable and easy to talk to, she used a variety of techniques that helped me get to the root of some historic issues, dealing with a narcissistic parent both in childhood and practical advice for day to day. Working with her has really improved my self esteem, anxiety and depressive mood. I can't recommend her enough.

Jo instantly put me at ease from the first conversation over the phone and continued to do so throughout all sessions. She is always professional and friendly. Jo clearly has a wide variety of practical skills and techniques which sets her apart from previous counsellors I have seen. She allowed me to open up and explore difficult parts from my past and I never felt like I was being judged. I was given weekly tasks to complete which really helped me to re-discover my shattered self confidence. She has given me a good set of skills to handle the struggles of everyday life and how to handle emotions from my past when they arise again. I am truly grateful to Jo for the help she has given me, I feel like myself again after many years of struggle and denial. Would recommend to anyone who is looking for a good counsellor who listens yet also gives practical techniques to continue self therapy.

Jo is so easy to talk to and made me feel extremely comfortable from the very first session. I honestly felt like I was talking to a friend when I was with her, her sense of humour when it was appropriate also made me feel so positive after the session especially when I entered feeling the complete opposite. My family and I are very grateful for all her help and I am so glad to have met her.

Very easy going, helpful and funny. She would relate to situations and feelings I would talk about and made me feel at ease. Even when I wasn't in her session I would think about her advice and what she would say to me in the situation I am in. It was like talking to a friend and I really appreciated all her help and advice.
